About Me

My name is Diego Santiago Lopez. I have a provoking reason to why I am creating an art portfolio. I watched Iron Man fly, toys come alive, and brothers build unimaginable things. I grew up with a fascination for movies and animation. In second grade my family visited The Science Behind Pixar Exhibit in the Boston Museum of Natural Science. I was in awe on how animator made things come to life. I still remember how fascinated I was stacking virtual blocks and looking at lighting methods. I was inquisitive so I taught myself to create small Lego stop motions. My dad is a content creator, so by 9 years old I learned to use Adobe Premiere Pro, an Editing software.

Dressing up as my favorite character

Just like all things we get distract with opportunity’s that are only available for a short period of time. In High school my priority’s were my GPA and Wrestling. I trained long hours while on a strict diet going to after school practices and club practices. Coming back home exhausted, I studied, then went to get my 8 hours of sleep. I was training to compete in state and national competitions. I gave my heart and soul into wrestling. My last year I tore my ACL and shoulder labrum, but still finished 6th in TX State.

I have been wrestling since about 7 years old

Moving on from the sport was tough, but I knew in the back of my mind I had always wanted to put my heart and soul to create a form of media that can inspire and change perspectives. I want to be apart of something that future generations can watch and experience. Now I am in a pursuit of going into a college for something I have been wanting to do as a kid. This is why I am creating a portfolio.
